Date Of Birth: June 21, 1944
Date Of Death: August 31, 2012

Robert (Bob) Lee Brown, 68, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Hospice unit of Hancock Regional Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born June 21, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Donald and Francis Brown.

Bob attended Avon High School. He served in the Army National Guard. He retired from Allison Transmission. He then worked for years as a courier for various companies until retirement. When between careers, he would work with his son, Greg, at Tan Easy USA and, later, Noble Roman’s Pizza. Bob was an avid Nascar and Colts fan. He was a lover of breakfast and enjoyed it each morning at White Castle. He never met a stranger, was a good friend to many, and a father-figure to several.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Judy, to whom he was married on September 3, 1965; daughter, Cindy (Mike) Stotts; son, Gregory (Leslie) Brown; grandchildren, Krista and David Vest, Graham Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother, William (Bill) Brown and twin sister, Betty Lou Herald.

The memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. The family will receive guests and celebrate Bob’s life at the church immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Bob’s memory to Hancock Regional Hospital Foundation-Hospice, 801 N State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140-1270.

I will remember Bob dancing at Greg and Leslie’s wedding and in more recent months, the smiles on his face in photos with Graham.

My Dad was the Best Father and a very good listener and friend. I will always be Daddy’s little Girl!
